Falconer
studios
What do
you do when your recording studio is out
of business because your equipment is broken
and you can't get support from the manufacturer
in Japan? Call future Implications
of course.
Falconer
run several recording studios in and around
the Camden area of London. One of their
24 track recording machines was out of action
meaning they were losing money as they could
not sell studio time. The Manufacturers
in Japan were proving to be less than responsive
to service requests despite numerous telephone
calls and faxes in English.
Simon
Cowie, the Operations Director at Falconer
contacted future implications
for advice. We suggested a firm but polite
fax in Japanese to the company concerned
would get results. We drafted an appropriate
text and faxed it directly to Japan on Falconer's
behalf. As the letter says, the parts were
soon on their way meaning Falconer were
back in business.
