  • Exxon Company International, Global Development & Rollout Project Management: Led development & subsequent international rollout of standard workstation load. A strategic project to provide Exxon with a standard environment for the next 3 to 5 years. Both the development and rollout projects were truly international involving staff from Europe, the Americas & Asia Pacific regions. Involved drawing up requirements specifications in conjunction with senior IT managers and business line staff, managing a geographically disbursed team of developers and running on-site training and QA workshops in each geographical region.

  • Esso UK, Interactive Voice Messaging: Led a design & implementation team to upgrade Esso’s automatic telephone system. The resulting system, based on IBM PC technology coupled to an AS400 back-end provides unattended 24 hour service to Esso customers nation wide and takes millions of pounds worth of orders per hour. User interface design improvements introduced by Pete resulted in wide user acceptance and have drastically cut call lengths and hence costs.
